Amanda contributes her adult interest in the paranormal to growing up in a haunted house in the small town of Oxford, AL. Having her parents not believe her very real experiences is the driving force behind finding proof of the supernatural. “I was told many times that a new house couldn’t be haunted because no one had ever lived there. My argument that anything could have been on the land before the subdivision was built was proven when I fell into an old well that we didn’t know was in the front yard.”
Since she was young, she has always been fascinated by anything weird or unusual: books, movies, old houses…and a huge fan of ghost story tellers, especially Katherine Tucker Windham. Thanks to Katherine’s books, she became familiar with Jeffrey and all the other southern ghosts. Getting involved with her friends in a paranormal group was inevitable.
She loves to cook and is always the ultimate hostess. Not missing an opportunity to perform, she has been dubbed the Karaoke Queen by other members of the group and has also recently taken up belly dancing. She resides in Maylene, AL with her extremely talented artist husband (see our link to CrowsonArt.com) and kids. (They’re extremely talented, too.)
