Brian Mealer
Brian moved to Alabama to pursue a MIS degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Immediately after graduating, Brian began working as an IT Administrator where he continued to develop his technical skills for the next eight years. He then accepted as position as a Facility Manager where he began learning more about building infrastructure and security equipment such as video cameras and digital video recorders. Although he has never had a personal paranormal experience of his own, he believes in the possibility of the existence of the paranormal. “I have many close friends and family that have had personal paranormal experiences. I know there must be some truth to the possibility of the paranormal because they have no reason to lie to me about their experiences.” As a result, this has always given Brian reason to be fascinated about all things paranormal. Although inquisitive regarding things paranormal, Brian remains somewhat of a skeptic. He is not quick to believe that just because something is unexplainable makes it paranormal. Although he believes in the possibility of the paranormal, he also believes that most so-called paranormal experiences are explainable and that true paranormal experiences are extremely rare. When Brian learned Cinnamon was looking for someone to manage the technical aspects of the paranormal investigation team, he jumped at the chance to utilize his professional skills to satisfy his long-time curiosity of the paranormal. However, the “thrill of the hunt” - the possibility of catching irrefutable evidence on film or video – keeps Brian continuing to investigate even when he is doubtful. He hopes that one day, the group’s research efforts will prove to him, as well as the rest of the world, there is truly more to the paranormal than most would like to believe.
