Sherie Cash
Born on the night of “The Fifty Funny Fellows Ball”, during the height of Mardi Gras in Mobile, Alabama in 1960 was the first indicator Sherie was in for a wild ride. "Lucky for me I was born Catholic so I was able to enjoy the festival until 21 when I left the fair city for Houston, Texas. Living in Houston for 23 years, what I missed most about Alabama was the history and the creepiness of it all, so I just had to return." During her early childhood her family made fun of her because she would only watch movies with melting letters, which later evolved into a love of full fledged horror films. "I also loved the smell of funeral incense which made everyone else sneeze or cry. It's a Catholic thing." For Sherie, this was just a precursor that led to other interests such as legends, cemeteries, paranormal and the unexplained. While attending college at South Alabama Sherie became a member of the Speakers Bureau. She was then asked to organize and host a ghost hunt with the famed Ed and Lorraine Warren who were the special guest speakers for the weekend of fun. "It was during that weekend that I had enough experiences to take the word skeptic out of my vocabulary." While living in Texas Sherie also developed a love of photography and on her return to Alabama, started a portfolio of cemetery angels. "Paranormal investigation is something I have always wanted to do. So when I heard Cinnamon had started a group, I jumped at the chance to join. With each new investigation that comes along, I look forward to the possibility of one day capturing proof on film." Something she can share with the rest of the world. |
